New Leadership for Positive Change
in Our Island Community

My record in our community's boards and youth programs is a record of enthusiasm, hard work, and positive change and results. My education at Harvard taught me how to learn and acclimate quickly, to research thoroughly, and to make myself heard. Two decades of work in small businesses, business and education consulting, and non profit boards and committees have helped me establish extensive skills in diplomacy, budgeting, cooperative decision making, and bringing ideas to action. But most importantly, I am a highly involved community member and mother of five active children, so my passion and devotion is advocating for and achieving positive, financially efficient, motivating change to make sure our islands are better for our descendants.

I seek the office of county councilmember because, like you, I know we can do better and be better. If I felt that we were always heard, and that the county was functioning efficiently, and that we were the best county for small businesses, and the world leader in effective environmental causes, and that we as a county provided the support for our citizens to live their healthiest lives, then I would continue to just keep doing what I do to just look out for my own family, my neighborhood, my own small business, and our Upcountry schools. But we as the County of Maui can be better. Especially now, when our country and world are reeling in chaos in the aftereffects of the Covid-19 pandemic, injustice, and civil unrest, and we have had our own community hit especially hard economically, we cannot ignore the importance of a strong, unifying, functioning local government. I want to be a voice and catalyst for that change.
